Eagles Spread Christmas 欢呼

During this Christmas season, 188体育 Eagles have been hard at work spreading Christmas cheer and Caritas Christi, the love of Christ, through community outreach.

圣诞老人漫步: On 十二月ember 8, 2019, the Jessie Rees Foundation hosted the Santa Stroll on the 188体育 Catholic High School 足球 Field. The event helped raise awareness and funds to support kids fighting cancer.

TopSoccer Holiday Fest: Children with special needs had the opportunity to enjoy a day of soccer and fun on Sunday, 十二月ember 15 at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. The 188体育 girls soccer program, along with the Cal South TOPSoccer program, puts on the annual event. The goal is to enable young athletes with disabilities to develop fitness and technical skills as well as courage and self-esteem. The day included festivities such as face painting, Santa photos, game stations, balloon art, photo opportunities, holiday treats and giveaways.

11th Annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser: SMCHS students, families, and friends came together and purchased over 160 Christmas trees to support ASB, 骑马的, Song, 舞蹈 Team, Ice Hockey, and 演讲和辩论. The trees were delivered to their recipients thanks to athletes and parents from the SMCHS baseball team! But most importantly, SMCHS families donated 49 Christmas trees to veteran families in need. SMCHS partnered with an non-profit charity called Strong Families, Strong Children. Located in Santa Ana, SFSC specifically supports the health and well-being of veterans, military families, and children throughout Orange County.

Christmas Socks for CHOC: The Eagles for CHOC club sold Christmas socks for $5.00 during school lunches to help purchase Christmas gifts for hospitalized teenagers at CHOC Hospital. Over 150 socks were sold. The money raised was used to purchased gifts for teens at CHOC Hospital.

采用家族: SMCHS continues to support Dale Jr. High School in Anaheim by “adopting” students and their families who are going through hardships by providing Christmas gifts to them to hopefully lighten their burdens during the holidays. Thirty-eight families were adopted by faculty, staff, classes, sports teams. We were able to fill 4 SUV’s/Pick-Up’s with presents for the families we adopted. We are grateful that we get to continue to build up our relationship with the Dale Jr. High community, and we are humbled by the outpouring of love and support by the SM community.

门 Impact Food Drive: Over 1,400 lbs of food was donated and collected by SMCHS 门 to support the Solano Food Bank.

Operation Holiday 主页work: Some of SMCHS football players gave back by helping at the Boys and Girls Club.

Student organizing delivery of baked goods to firefighters: There are currently 86 stations in the OCFA and an average of 10 firefighters will be working each station this Christmas. Outside of the OCFA there are 27 stations, still with an average of 10 per station. That is an average of 1,130 people who will not be home for the holiday and 1,130 families that will not have their loved ones with them. So to spread some Christmas cheer to the firefighters that have worked so hard during fire season, Cara Adams thought it would be nice to bring a dessert to each station. She encouraged the community to bless the firemen with some nice food so that they know how appreciative we are of their work! You can 注册在这里在线.
